Buffy: A UU Super Hero
Begins Monday, October 30, 6:30 pm and continues on Monday nights for 18 sessions. Logan England and Dr. Leigh Clemons from the LSU theatre department will facilitate. What can we learn about the principles and values of Unitarian-Universalism from a television series about a vampire slayer? Join us in the learning circle The Unitarian Slayer, designed by Diane Wilson of the UU Fellowship of Raleigh. Sessions will be on Monday nights from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Childcare will be available if needed. Each week, we will discuss love, forgiveness, courage, integrity, sacrifice, loyalty, loss, and spirituality, based on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If you haven't yet seen Buffy, this is a great opportunity to learn why this show has earned such a strong following. We will view two episodes each week, and background will be provided for those not familiar with the series. Sign up at the Adult Programs table or call the church office to register.

Date: 2006-09-25 09:08 am (UTC)My ambition is to actually watch the series from start to finish. I have the first two episodes ;).
Buffy's one of my dad's guilty pleasures, we dropped in one day and he was watching it and it was hilarious listening to all his excuses as to why he was watching it.
