Winter Walk to Valentine's day

A friend of mine started a challenge to blog every day for the next month about things you're grateful for, so here is mine.

Baby girl (who will be 11 in six weeks!) has a pain managment consult in Nashville on Feb. 7th. Talking to the clinic coordinator was *amazing*. To be understood on that level, it was such a relief. To say, "medicine X helps with this, but not with ____" and have her fill in the blank. She *knew*. She *got* it. I mentioned the sleep issues and having a pending referal to the sleep clinic and she said oh no, don't worry about that, we'll take care of that here. And how we need to try to find a low air loss bedding system and we need to try different ones to see what works and she was like, don't worry, we'll set that up. C. is so excited to finally have this appointment, the time can't go by fast enough.

In the mail today was the most amazing package from dreamerofmalta I am the proud owner of my very own hand knitted cunning Jayne hat, and the most awesome illustrated Dr. Who storybook.

I am blessed beyond words.

I'm so glad to hear about the consult and the challenge is a really, really great idea. I could use a little more of that right now--some days it seems hard to remember there are things to be grateful about.
