Just rattling along
Sep. 19th, 2012 11:32 amWe are all still here, though I've let me LJ become a ghost town. I hate to see my friends page not even fill up in 24 hours. Is everyone quiet, or moved on to facebook or somewhere else? Many of you I keep up with on Facebook, but some I don't and I really miss you!
Cassie is doing okay. She still has infection, she is colonized and always will, but through a combination of luck, grace, and good wound care, we have kept it from getting to her bloodstream, so she is stable for now. She attended MechaCon in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago and had the time of her life.
Walt will be 14 in two weeks. 14!! Honestly, he's doing fantastic. He's in the 6th grade now and so proud to finally be in middle school. He made the AB honor roll on his mid term progress report. His private school is expensive and the cost is killing me, but it's so worth it.
Max is still living with me too. Though he has decided that if his mother and stepfather get deployed to Alaska next summer he wants to go with them, and now seems to feel that since this arrangement might be temporary, that he doesn't need to listen to me, merely wait me out. Sigh. It's a work in progress.
And me? Nothing much to report. I signed up for the small fandom big bang and now have to actually write something.
