I was so sad to read that the crack_van community is shutting down. I have to confess that I'm an old curmudgeon and I hate that fandom has migrated to Tumblr and other parts unknown and unknowable. I don't get how to really interact on Tumblr and don't enjoy using it very much. It makes me very nostalgic for the heyday of Livejournal and fandom in general. It doesn't seem as unified as it once way. I see the Revolution comms struggling to get people to participate and I feel bad that I'm no longer jumping into the fray to joyously participate. So I guess I'm just as much a part of the problem as everyone else who has abandoned Livejournal for Facebook and Twitter and Tumblr.

I have to say that I just haven't been completely obsessed with much in a long time. Too busy with kids and medical stuff and other aspects of life. And I'm just not crazy in love with Supernatural anymore. I still love Sam and Dean, I always will, but I'm ready for the show to be over. For about two seasons now. This season feels like filler. I love Revolution, but the fandom is small and the most popular pairings don't do anything for me, so there's virtually no fic that interests me. Hannibal is amazing perfect for what it is and I want more, but don't feel any interest in fic or fandom. Nightvale has taken over my brain, and that's pretty much the only fanfic I've been reading (or attempting to write).
